It has been a gentle sort of a day, and as such it has been most welcome for this time of year. A time to recharge and restore. Uncomplicated and routine. I've hand delivered some more of my Christmas cards, taken a trip to the post office to send those which are for friends further afield, and collected an online gift order. I only need to go into the town tomorrow to find one more present, and I can relax, as then there will only be the food to sort out.
More cards are arriving each day and there are already several presents beneath the tree. This year it looks like I'll be set for wine and chocolates :)

You are ahead of me but I did drag the artificial tree up from the basement today. The grands will decorate it when they come over on Christmas Day. Enjoy your restful day!
ReplyDeleteI need to get organised in time for school finishing at the end of the week - I'm almost there :)
DeleteYour grandchildren will have a lovely time decorating the tree. X
I'm glad you got a chance to put your feet up, Jules. :) I need to hurry up and finish the one gift I'm working on and get the rest of the stuff done!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention my six hours of work beforehand :)
DeleteI'm sure your gift will be completed in time. X
Love the cosy image. Definitely looking forward to Friday when I can finish work for two weeks. Heavenly. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I can't wait. Xx
DeleteHope you enjoyed your more relaxing day. I bet those don't come round often :)
ReplyDeleteI was working most of the day as well, but it was lovely to put my feet up in the evening. X
DeleteIt's nice to have a day of pottering, doing those last minute jobs. I've still got a few gifts to buy but I'm nearly there.
ReplyDeleteI've just re-read my post and it does sound like I did very little yesterday :) I was, in fact, at work for most of the day, but it was uneventful, and as such I was looking upon it as an easy day - small wins.
DeleteThere's not long to go now. It's a good feeling when you've got everything you need. X
How lovely. I am sure it was most enjoyable.
ReplyDeletexx
Fleeting, but enjoyable :)
DeleteIt's good to put your feet up and relax. I remember those days of being a busy working Mum but all those Christmas preparations got done in time.
ReplyDeleteIt's not always easy, but as problems go it's not a bad one to have. Xx
DeleteAha fortunately I read the earlier comments and realise that your day was not without work, it must be nice for you to reach this stage when all your Christmas prep is nearly done and you can start to enjoy the forthcoming festivities m'dear
ReplyDeleteI like it when I'm able to relax and enjoy the festivities. It shouldn't be about the shopping, after all. Xx
DeleteSounds like you are very organised. I’m in denial at the moment. Blind panic but this time next week. Lol! B x
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I'm familiar with that stage myself :) X
DeletePerfect!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you! Making sure that you can fully enjoy this lovely Time of Year. Rather than spend it, in a "frazzle" and a "tizzy"!!!!! -smile-
Hugs and Love,
"Miss B.B."

I've 'endured' many a frazzle and tizzy in previous years. X
DeleteIt sounds a lovely day, I'm looking forward to catching up on my last minute bits over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good feeling when your preparations start to come together. X
DeleteSounds like you have everything sorted and can enjoy the rest of the run up to
ReplyDeleteChristmas.
That's my plan, at least. X
DeleteThose precious moments where you can have a bit of time to just breathe after a busy day are glorious x
ReplyDeleteThose moments are almost worth the busyness of the day. Almost :)
DeleteI think we all need a quiet day to recharge our batteries.
ReplyDeleteI wrapped a few more presents earlier today, and rewarded myself with a nice cup of tea (it was a little too early for wine, LOL)
Enjoy the rest of the week.
All the best Jan
It sounds as if you're well organised, Jan. X
