Christmas Mantel

I've made a start. This evening, the fireplace has been decorated with a few favourite Christmas items, with more to follow over the weekend.

Today, at work, Christmas music filled the air and I spent much of my morning surrounded by kings, shepherds and sheep!

It's beginning to feel festive.

  1. So glad you are starting to feel more festive. I have done the same and put out just a few of my favourite items in the living room. I might even just stick with a few and a lot of candles and twinkly lights.

    1. I hope so too, Jayne, although we will be leaving the tree until next week. Lily is insisting it gets decorated on the 8th this year :) X

  8. That's a lovely start you've made. I am itching to put my decorations up but Husband is just finishing off decorating our living room and the earliest we could get the new carpet fitted is next Wednesday so I have to be patient(not easy) and wait till after then.

  11. We don't have a mantel, I'm always envious when I see other people's decorated beautifully.

  12. Good for you. Apart from making 6 Christmas cakes and sending all my foreign Christmas cards I've not managed to get into the mood at all.

  13. We purchased some Christmas decorations today, much against my hum-bug nature I might add, but tis starting to feel more festive in our house in the hill. Although we have fireplace (I think the term is 'builders fireplace' where it has been opened up to the brickwork where the smaller fireplace resided) we do not have a mantel, which is a shame as yours looks quite lovely m'dear.
