I've made a start. This evening, the fireplace has been decorated with a few favourite Christmas items, with more to follow over the weekend.
Today, at work, Christmas music filled the air and I spent much of my morning surrounded by kings, shepherds and sheep!
It's beginning to feel festive.

So glad you are starting to feel more festive. I have done the same and put out just a few of my favourite items in the living room. I might even just stick with a few and a lot of candles and twinkly lights.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Viv. I like the idea of lots of candles and twinkly lights. X
DeleteLove that festive wreath which looks to be on your mantel.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. It's a favourite of mine. X
DeleteYour mantel looks so pretty and festive! Lucky you to be surrounded by kings, shepherds, and sheep! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bless. It was a lovely morning :)
DeleteI like the lit up wreath, it looks really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI think it has just the right amount of sparkle. X
DeleteYour mantel looks so pretty and festive. I love the wreath with the lights.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julia. I think I've displayed these decorations on the mantel for a few years now. X
DeleteOh, that's lovely. Hope to get mine done today so fingers crossed we are both successful 🎄 🎄 🎄 and get everything sorted.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too, Jayne, although we will be leaving the tree until next week. Lily is insisting it gets decorated on the 8th this year :) X
DeleteIt sounds wonderful being surrounded by kings, shepherds and sheep. Loving your Christmas mantel and the wreath with the lights.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. The wreath is a favourite of mine. X
DeleteThat's a lovely start you've made. I am itching to put my decorations up but Husband is just finishing off decorating our living room and the earliest we could get the new carpet fitted is next Wednesday so I have to be patient(not easy) and wait till after then.
ReplyDeleteJust think how lovely it's going to look when it is all finished. X
DeleteLove the light and shadows around your wreath, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd so Christmas begins in another household....enjoy xx
The wreath is one of my favourite decorations. I've had it for quite a few years now. X
DeleteIt's looking lovely and festive, I have put a few things out too, have a lovely weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's often easier to decorate a little at a time. X
DeleteWe don't have a mantel, I'm always envious when I see other people's decorated beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI didn't used to have one in my previous home. I used to decorate the window sill instead. X
DeleteGood for you. Apart from making 6 Christmas cakes and sending all my foreign Christmas cards I've not managed to get into the mood at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm gradually getting there, Graham. X
DeleteThat looks so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cherie. X
DeleteSounds heavenly!
ReplyDeleteIt was all rather lovely. X
DeleteWe purchased some Christmas decorations today, much against my hum-bug nature I might add, but tis starting to feel more festive in our house in the hill. Although we have fireplace (I think the term is 'builders fireplace' where it has been opened up to the brickwork where the smaller fireplace resided) we do not have a mantel, which is a shame as yours looks quite lovely m'dear.
ReplyDeleteThank you, John. I'm glad you're getting in the festive spirit. X
