Here we are, at last. Sunshine, blue skies and fresh air - Spring!
My whole being breathed a huge sigh of relief.
The only downside to this glorious weather is that the sunshine is showing up every last bit of dust in the house in high definition. With any luck it might just blow away now that I'm able to leave the windows open.
We've been out walking. It is still incredibly muddy, but with the warm breeze and clear skies I can overlook this one minor disgruntlement.
We got to rest a while, sit on a (dry) bench and take in the views. What a wonderful, albeit long overdue, way to feed the soul.
I have had some washing on the line. It smells so much fresher and I do so love to see it blowing in the breeze. The grass has had it's first, much needed, cut of the year and our tiny raised bed prepared for Lily's seed planting.
The blanket is coming along nicely. I'm really hoping to finish it before the warmer weather comes
along. I do think a blanket makes for more of a winter month project. There is something very cosy and comforting about sitting under it as I work. This week I laid it out on the carpet to see how it was progressing and a certain small person staked her claim to it. I think I'll take it as a compliment.

It makes such a difference when the sky is blue and the sun's shining, doesn't it? I'm just hoping that the good weather is here to stay for a while. Your blanket it looking lovely and I can see that it will be well used.
ReplyDeleteIt really does Jo. I'm hoping for a long hot Summer this year. X

Thank you. I will hopefully have it finished in the next week or two. X
DeleteIt is so nice to get out in the fresh air and blow the cobwebs away. The blanket is lovely, would love to see more of your garden. xx
ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it. I will try and get a few more photographs of the garden for you. It shouldn't be difficult, it is quite small. X
DeleteBack to grey again today so it was lovely to see the sun shining in your photos. Beautiful blanket and it looks like it must be very comfortable xx
ReplyDeleteAt least the grey is getting interrupted by the sunshine more and more now. The blanket must be comfortable, she sits on it every time I lay it down! X
DeleteBeautiful pictures as usual! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Jackie. The blue sky helps. X
DeleteSo glad to read that spring has arrived! Your pictures are beautiful. The country side around you looks so peaceful! What is Lily planting in her raised bed?
ReplyDeleteThank you Bless. We are intending to plant spinach, courgettes, spring onions and carrots. X
DeleteYour blanket looks lovely! The weather looks so nice in your photos, we had a nice sunny day Wednesday, but back to grey skies and wind Thursday and rain today.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tania. It's back to Winter here today! X
DeleteYou live in a beautiful part of the world, what lovely pictures! I always feel so much happier when skies are blue and the sun is shining, let's hope for more of that soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susie. Lets hope so. X
DeleteWow look at those blue skies and that beautiful view. I love the blanket, and yes it is more of a winter occupation.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get the blanket finished very soon. X
DeleteLily certainly looks very comfy on the blanket. I know I've said this before but you really do live in a beautiful part of the country.
ReplyDeleteWe are still waiting to do our garden. It's more maintenance at this time of year than planting flowers etc. and we need a couple of good days which are proving difficult to find. The little flower/veg bed is a lovely idea for Lily, bet she'll have loads of fun planting her seeds in there.
Hope you're having a lovely week. xx
We are very lucky to live where we do Suzanne, and we do appreciate it. To have these walks on our doorstep is such a blessing.
DeleteYour garden is looking great. I sometimes wish ours was more low maintenance. We are hoping to get some seeds planted this next week. X
